The sample selection controls on your data collector allow you to choose the individuals who will be interviewed. The default is that production is random, but production data fields can be controlled by specifying the identity of the individuals who are to be included in the sample every time that the production data questions are answered.
If you want to add an indicator to a data collector to indicate whether or not a survey item has been answered, you can right-click the Survey item, select Add Field, and select if the survey item has been answered from the dropdown to the right of the Field Items area.
In the extract file, are the fields labeled with symbols for a survey question with a response of ''None of these'';''once, twice, three times''; ''hard, medium, or easy''? This must be so in order for the calculation to be correct. Calculations such as this are best done manually.
When defining a variable as integer/factor, like ''Do you agree that...' or ''Please choose an option...', the key option is to have the integer/factor defined as ''as integers/factors' and to use the value as a scale factor. d2c66b5586
